This Watermelon Slushie is on repeat all summer long. I try to use watermelon in a million different ways all ☀️ summer. I love 🍉 watermelon with feta , in a salsa, in a salad and smoothies. I’ve even made Watermelon Fries ! Watermelon is by far the most refreshing fruit and this recipe will be your new best friend. This slushy is not only easy, but absolutely delicious. This is way better than any freezies that you would buy at the store, and uses only natural, simple ingredients. I didn’t measure anything in this recipe as you can add as much or as little of anything that you like and make it according to taste.

Why You’ll Love Watermelon Slushie
This Watermelon Slushie is the ultimate summer quencher! On those 😎 hot hot days, you will reach for this. It’s so bright and crisp, and I love the bright tang the lime juice gives this. This is a great base recipe as is, but feel free to add a bit of sweetener , such as agave or 🍯 honey if you like. If you’re serving this to adults, 🍹 a splash of alcoholic or non-alcoholic rum , tequila or vodka would be really good.
How to Prepare
🍉 Using a sharp knife , cut the watermelon into cubes and then place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper .
🧊 Freeze it for 1-2 hours or until frozen.
🥭 Next, add the watermelon to a blender with frozen mango cubes, lime juice, and a sweetener of choice (optional).
🌀 Now, blend everything together, using the tamper to help the blender if needed.
💦 Finally, add a splash of sparkling water to the blender if you need to loosen it up. Cheers!
Nonna’s Tip 🍉
If the blender is stalling or having a hard time blending everything together, try adding some sparkling water a little at a time to help it along OR thaw the fruit a bit before blending it.

Common Questions
Keep using your temper to push the ingredients down. If you don’t have a temper open the blender scraping the bottom to help it along. If you find that the blender is not blending it and the fruits are way too hard and frozen you can let them thaw a bit before you blend or you can simply add some sparkling water to thin out the slushy. Be sure to add a little bit at a time as a little goes a long way.
I love my Vitamix A3500 Ascent Series Smart Blender because it’s great quality, nice and large and washes easily!
I added mango to this Watermelon Slushie, but you could absolutely add frozen strawberries, pineapple or mixed berries.
If you prefer to make this Watermelon Slushie a bit sweeter you can certainly add in some honey, agave or your favorite sugar-free sweetener. Add a little bit at a time to make sure it doesn’t end up too sweet.
